We remodeled the kitchen in the fall of 2008, so everything is new.

The kitchen features stainless appliances and brand new cabinets. The countertops are granite, and cabinet space is plentiful; the microwave is built-in. In addition, there is a pantry just off the kitchen for storing any groceries you may have brought to the island.

Food preparation, whether just a snack or a complete meal, is made easier by a complete set of pots, pans, utensils, and knives.

You'll find the cabinets complete with dishes, glassware, silverware, and a set of Henckels knives. Since we are managed by the Kiawah Island Resort, they provide us with a rather extensive list of necessities for the kitchen; we provide everything on their list and more.

All the usual small appliances such as a coffee maker, blender, and toaster are provided. There are plenty of pots and pans, along with utensils, to cook most anything you desire. There is even an espresso maker if you would like to practice your barista skills.

Kiawah has a wealth of fine dining opportunities, as well as nearby Charleston, but, if you should choose to make that special meal at home, you should have no problem, no matter what the cuisine of choice.

Just off the kitchen is the dining area, with plenty of sunlight and a round glass table.
